An Academic program is designed for persons pursuing further studies in English for studying or teaching in English. A Professional program is designed for persons to be able to communicate in the business world. In the Professional program some special interest needs can be accommodated.
USING YOUR ENGLISH - Four One Hour Classes - Students will participate on line with a teacher using oral and visual methods. There will be a topic of discussion, a grammar point(s), specific needs of the students, small activities. The focal point is communication in English with the assistance of the teacher.
INTERMEDIATE 502 – This 40-hour course covers a more extensive level of grammar, vocabulary and communication skills. Short stories, internet sources, magazines and newspapers will be used for reading assignments and written assignments. PROFICIENCY 503 – this 40-hour course will have more intensive levels of grammar, sentence structures, and vocabulary. Communication skills both written and verbal will be the prime objective. Suggested novels and other literary forms will be introduced and applicable assignments will be given. Business Intermediate 602 - This intermediate level course will contain higher levels of grammar and communication skills. Oral communication for purposes of conducting business will be stressed. Written skills at this level will be grammar excercises and short communication memos, letters and e-mails. Reading a variety of English sources, listening to English and using English will be encouraged. Business Proficiency 603 - The Proficiency level will require a great deal of work by the student. Specific grammar points will be taught but many of the topics will be student generated according to their individual needs. Oral communication will be continued to be stressed. Written work will be grammar exercises as needed and projects applicable to the students needs using the formats of presentations, reports and other business tools or procedures.
English for Special Interests 701- People learn English for many reasons. Employment or education needs may dictate the need for a special interest course. Students pursuing education in English in a specific field of education or for specific employment opportunities may require help in using appropriate vocabulary. Students for this course must have completed the 500 series or the 600 series from Winton International or equilvalent courses to register. Grammar will be taught as needed. The focus will be learning the English needed for personal endeavours.
EB101 is an online course for participants who are interested in learning the Spanish language from the very beginning. Oral and written skills are stressed in this program. Vocabularios y práctica específica acorde a intereses EPA105 es el curso online para quienes tienen un nivel intermedio de español pero un interés profesional específico. Interviews, presentaciones, conversaciones telefónicas y otros interesantes tópicos EPA106 es el curso online para quienes desean comunicarse en español, tienen conocimientos avanzados de la lengua española y tienen un fin específico. Las actividades se organizan acorde al interés de los participantes focalizando en la importancia de la comunicación en distintas situaciones. Realizando los 6 encuentros online planificados a traves del año, se capacitarán para las diversas actividades del programa "Inglés en la escuela pública" lo que les permitirá ser examinadores externos. Utilización del aula virtual en forma activa. Diseño de una clase. Utilización de internet como recurso de investigación y conocimiento. Ejercitación activa para comprobar resultados en el momento. Encuentro 2: Software libre para simplificar la tarea docente diaria tanto administrativa como académica. Utilización de Moodle plataforma usada en nuestros cursos online.
